Boeing has a five-year contract to support the RAAF’s E-7A Wedgetail, which recently achieved final operational capability

Boeing Defence Australia has welcomed the declaration of final operational capability (FOC) for the RAAF E-7A Wedgetail airborne early warning and control platform, which has been winning praise for its reliability and effectiveness on operations in Iraq and elsewhere.

“FOC is really the culmination of all the work under the acquisition contract over many years, and ithas been a joint effort between the Commonwealth and Boeing through the acquisition phase,” said Mark Horton, Wedgetail sustainment manager at RAAF Base Williamtown.
