A380-842 VH-OQD, which departed Sydney for Manila on May 1 for planned maintenance (Traffic/June), returned to Sydney as QF6014 on June 21.

A380-842 VH-OQE ferried from Sydney to Manila as QF6013 on June 21 for planned maintenance.

A380-842 VH-OQF, which was damaged in a hangar accident at Sydney on April 14 (Traffic/June), returned to service on June 9 when it operated QF17 from Sydney to Los Angeles.

767-338ER VH-OGI, which was registered N304BC on May 8 (Traffic/July) and is destined for operations with WestJet, was ferried from Victorville to Lake Charles, Louisiana on June 4.

767-338ER VH-OGL, which was registered N326BC on April 8 (Traffic/June) and is also destined for operations with WestJet, was ferriedfrom Victorville to Lake Charles on June 2.

767-338ER VH-OGO, which has been in storage at Alice Springs since January 10, was cancelled from the register on June 19 as ‘export to FAA’ and the same day was registered N371CM to Cargo Aircraft Management of Wilmington, Delaware. As N371CM the 767 departed Alice Springs for Mumbai on June 30 and it will reportedly be converted to a freighter for operations with ABX Air, which currently operates four ex‑Qantas 767-338ERs now converted to freighters: N362CM ex VH-OGB; N317CM ex VH‑OGC; N364CM ex VH-OGE and N363CM ex VH-OGF.

767-338ER VH-OGT, which has been in storage at Alice Springs since January 2, departed there on June 5 as QF6027 to Paya Lebar where it will be converted for freight operations.

VH-OGT was cancelled from the register on June 16 as ‘export to the USA’ and the same day was registered N196CR to a Utah-based bank.

However, the aircraft reportedly will be operated by National Airlines.

The former 737-476 VH-TJF, now registered N431AG, completed its conversion to a freighter in Tampa before being ferried to Bogota on June 14 for delivery to AerCaribe.

QantasLink reactivated Dash 8-315 VH-SBB, which was stored at Tamworth on June 11 (Traffic/ June), when it ferried to Brisbane as QF6713. VH‑SBB returned to service on June 12 as QF2326 from Brisbane to Bundaberg.

Dash 8-315 VH-TQY, which was also stored at Tamworth (Traffic/ June), ferried to Sydney as QF6710 on June 6 before returning to service on June 10 as QF2104 from Sydney to Coffs Harbour.

Jetstar ferried A320-232 VH‑VGZ from Melbourne to Darwin and Seletar as JQ7991 onJune 5 for planned maintenance.

A320-232 VH-VQC, which was under maintenance in Newcastle on April 23 when the hangar fire suppression triggered (Traffic/ June), returned to service on June 9 when it operated JQ473 from Newcastle to Melbourne.

A321-231 VH-VWZ, which had been in Seletar for planned maintenance since May 12 (Traffic/ July), ferried from Seletar to Melbourne as JQ7994 on June 15.

787-8 VH-VKK, which is planned for delivery in July, made its maiden flight from Paine Field on June 29.

Jetstar Hong Kong has sold two of the three remaining A320 aircraft it had in storage at Toulouse with both delivered to Hong Kong Express.

All-white A320-232/S B-LCG msn 5738, which was the prospective B-KJD, was delivered to Hong Kong on June 5; and A320‑232/S B-LCF msn 5725, which was the prospective B-KJC, was delivered to Hong Kong on May 23.

A320-232 F-WXAB msn 5685, the prospective B-KJB for Jetstar Hong Kong, remains in storage at Toulouse.

Network Aviation placed Fokker 100 VH-NHY msn 11467 on the register on June 23.

Network ferried Fokker 100 VH‑NHK from Seletar to Port Hedland and Perth on June 3 after completing its planned maintenance.

Airline news

In this issue we report the delivery of a Fokker 70 to Alliance Airlines while departing were a 737‑300 of Air New Zealand and a Beech 1900D of ANZ Link.

Air Caledonie ferried ATR 72‑500 F-OIPS from Noumea/ Magenta to Christchurch on June 22 for planned maintenance at ANZ Engineering.

Air New Zealand was planning to take delivery of 787-9 ZK‑NZD in Auckland in late July with 787‑9 ZK-NZC planned to follow in early August.

A320-232/S ZK-OXJ msn 6694 was planned for delivery to Air New Zealand in Christchurch in mid-August.

A320-232 ZK-OJG returned to service on June 22 as NZ6232 from Christchurch to Auckland after being painted in the fern leaf colour scheme.

737-319 ZK-NGG, which was withdrawn from service on May 14 (Traffic/July), was cancelled from the register on June 17 as ‘exported’.

On June 19 the 737 was registered N303KH to Aircraft 25606 of Lake Mary, Florida.

With its Air New Zealand titles and koru logo removed, N303KH ferried out of Christchurch on June 24 for Pago Pago, Honolulu and Kelowna.

ZK-NGG was delivered to Air New Zealand in Christchurch on October 16 ’99 after ferrying in from Seattle via Honolulu and Apia as NZ6733.

Air New Zealand Link/Eagle Airways withdrew Beech 1900D ZK-EAI from service on June 12 after the aircraft operated NZ2211 from Auckland to Hamilton.

Beech 1900D ZK-EAK, which was withdrawn from service at Hamilton on December 31 (Traffic/ April), was cancelled from the register on June 12 as ‘exported’. On June 26 the Beech, now registered ZS-EAK, departed Hamilton for Norfolk Island, Brisbane and Alice Springs and after overnighting continued to Broome and Denpasar.

Its ferry flight to South Africa was contracted to Ferry Flight International.

Air New Zealand Link/ Air Nelson returned Dash 8-311 ZK‑NFB to service on June 11 after being painted in the fern leaf colour scheme while Dash 8-311 ZK-NFIreturned to service on June 15 after its livery change.

ANZ Link/Mount Cook ATR 72-600 F-WWEQ msn 1264, was on display at the Paris Airshow. Later registered ZK-MVG the ATR was planned for delivery to Christchurch in early July.

ATR 72-500 ZK-MCP (Traffic/July) returned to Christchurch on June 14 from Townsville and Brisbane after being painted by Flying Colours in the fern livery.

Air Niugini placed Fokker 70 P2-ANR Mount Hagen into service on May 2 when the aircraft operated PX120 from Port Moresby to Wewak. Earlier, on April 28, P2-ANR operated a special flight PX4180 from Port Moresby to Mount Hagen where the aircraft was named Mount Hagen. The Fokker made its first visit to Australia on June 6 when it operated PX90 from Port Moresby to Cairns.

Fokker 100 P2-ANQ returned to Port Moresby on June 13 as PX6390 from Subang and Denpasar and while overseas it became the last Fokker 100 in the fleet to be repainted in the current Air Niugini livery.

Alliance Airlines took delivery of Fokker 70 VH‑NKU in Brisbaneon June 12. The ferry flight from Bratislava, operated by Southern Cross as SXI1516, transited Trabzon, Al Ain, Ahmedabad, Chittagong and Penang.

Fokker 100 VH-XWN departed Perth for Bratislava on April 28 for planned maintenance (Traffic/June) before returning to Perth on June 20. The ferry from Bratislava to Perth, contracted to Southern Cross and operated as SXI1518, transited Trabzon, Al Ain, Hyderabad, Penang and Halim. VH-XWN returned to service with Alliance on June 23 when it operated UTY792 from Perth to Mount Keith.

Cobham took delivery of RJ85 VH-NJU in Adelaide on May 26 (Traffic/July) before ferrying the aircraft to Perth on June 15 as JTE5500.

Fiji Airways ferried 737‑8X2 DQ-FJH as FJI2006 from Hong Kong to Guam and Nadi on June 25/26 after completion of maintenance. The 737 had been in Hong Kong since May 18 (Traffic/July).

Nauru Airlines ferried 737‑36N VH-PNI as RON800 from Brisbane to Manila via Darwin on May 30 for planned maintenance. As RON801 VH-PNI returned to Brisbane on June 29 from Manila and Darwin.

Virgin Group news

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines/VARA had Fokker 100 VH-FSQ in Seletar for maintenance since May 10 (Traffic/July). It departed Seletar on June 10 for Port Hedland and Townsville where it entered the Flying Colours hangar. On June 16 as VOZ9951 VH-FSQ ferried from Townsville to Alice Springs and Perth (arriving June 17) and later that morning returned to service as VOZ9051 from Perth to Barimunya.

Fokker 100 VH-FSW departed Perth as VOZ9990 on June 13 for Seletar via Port Hedland for planned maintenance.

Tigerair ferried A320‑232 VH‑VND from Seletar to Melbourne as TGW9003 on June 7/8 after completion of maintenance.

A320-232 VH-VNF as TGW 9002 departed Melbourne on June 7 for Darwin and Seletar for planned maintenance.

Regional airline news

In this issue we report the delivery of a PC-12/47E to the RFDS/Western Operations.

Hawker Pacific imported Dash 8-311 VH-DNU msn 571 into Cairns on August 26 ’14. The all-white aircraft has since reportedlyremained on the ground at Cairns.

Kiwi Regional Airlines is planning to commence RPT services on September 27 with flights connecting Dunedin, Hamilton, Nelson and Queenstown. Kiwi Regional will reportedly import Saab 340A SPKPG msn 065 to operate its flights.

Originair is planning to commence RPT services on August 12 using Jetstream 31 ZK‑JSH from Nelson to Palmerston North, while on September 10 it will commence services from Nelson to Wellington.

Pelican Airlines placed Jetstream 32EP VH-OTE into service on June 9 when it operated TE135 from Newcastle to Canberra.

Jetstream 32EP VH-OTD operated Pelican’s inaugural Sydney to Mudgee PE241 service on June 11 and the inaugural service Newcastle to Sydney PE121 service also on June 11.

RFDS/Western Operations took delivery of PC-12/47E VH‑OWV msn 1530 at Jandakot on June 19 after the aircraft completed its ferry flight from Switzerland via Lombok and Broome.

PC-12/47E msn 1541 is reported to be the next of type planned for delivery to the RFDS.

Sounds Air took delivery of PC‑12/45 VH-MWO at Wellington on June 4 after the aircraft ferried in from the Gold Coast. The PC‑12was painted in Sounds Air colours at Redcliffe and was noted there as ZK-PLT. However, for the delivery flight the aircraft remained on the Australian register.

Bizjet news

In this issue we report the delivery of a Global Express and a Challenger 604 with the deliveries of a Global Express and a Falcon 2000 imminent.

Departures comprise a Global 5000 and a Citation X.

Global Express VH-CCX was registered to Crown Melbourne Ltd of Southbank, Victoria on June 1 and on June 7 it was delivered to Melbourne from Honolulu.

As mentioned in Traffic/July this aircraft previously operated in the United States as N36EG.

Global Express VH-CCD was registered to Crown Melbourne Ltd of Southbank on June 26.

Challenger 604 VH-VLZ was registered to Sunshine Air Services of Mount Waverley, Victoria on June 10 and on June 22 it arrived at Essendon from Hilo and Apia.

Falcon 2000 VH-FJO msn 27 was registered on June 2 with the holder Falcon Jet Operations of Canning Vale, WA and the operator Sydney Jet Charter of Regents Park, NSW.

Global 5000 VH-DNK, which was registered to Tatary Pty Ltd of Belmont, WA was cancelled from the register on June 23 as ‘exported to the Cayman Islands’. VH-DNK was last reported in Australia on April 10 when it departed Perth for Seletar.

Citation X VH-RCA, which was registered to Christie Aviation of Wangi Wangi, NSW was cancelled from the register on June 23 as ‘exported to the USA’. The Citation X was last reported in Australia on May 10 when it departed Sydney for Apia and Hilo.

Linfox Global Charter Global Express VH-LEP changed its registration to VH-LZP on June 23.

Premier N7088S, which was operated by Avesco of Mackay, departed Archerfield on June 3 for Cairns and after overnighting continued to Biak. The Premier was later noted flying from Yelizovo to Anchorage and onwards to Indianapolis where it arrived on June 8. Avesco currently operates Legacy 550 N142GZ which was delivered to Mackay on February 9 (Traffic/ April) so this aircraft has evidentally replaced the Premier.

King Air 300LW DQ-LIH, which was previously registered OEFME (Traffic/July), was test flown at Archerfield on June 22. It then departed Archerfield on June 26 for the Gold Coast and Nadi and delivery to the Laucala Island Resort.

Gulfstreams galore

Exxon Mobil Gulfstream 650ER N100A arrived in Cairns from Kona, Hawaii on June 22 and departed on June 24 to Komo, PNG. It returned the same day to Cairns via Port Moresby before departing Cairns for Kona on June 27.

Gulfstream 650 N712KT arrived at Sydney from Haneda on June 23 before departing to Brisbane on June 24. It departed Brisbane for Haneda on June 26.

AC Executive Aircraft Gulfstream 650 M-GSIX callsign ‘London city6’ arrived in Brisbane from Kansai on June 8 and after overnighting departed to Port Moresby.

Helios Aviation Gulfstream 550 N145MG arrived in Darwin from Nelson on June 29.

Exxon Mobil Gulfstream 550 N200A arrived in Cairns from Kona on June 21. On June 24 it operated Cairns-Komo-Port Moresby-Cairns before departing for Kona on June 27.

Exxon Mobil Gulfstream 550 N300A arrived in Cairns from Kona on June 22. On June 24 it operated Cairns-Komo-Port Moresby-Cairns before departing for Kona on June 27.

Chevron USA Gulfstream 550 N443M arrived in Perth from Guam on June 29.

Merck Sharp and Dohne Corporation Gulfstream 550 N653MK arrived in Canberra from Honolulu on June 16 before continuing to Sydney on June 17.

It departed Sydney for Cairns on June 21 before continuing to Honolulu on June 26.

Gulfstream 550 N757PL arrived in Sydney from Seletar on June 3 and departed to Denpasar on June 7. JP Morgan Chase Bank Gulfstream 550 N780E arrived in Cairns from Honolulu on June 22 before returning to Honolulu on June 25.

Conoco Phillips Gulfstream 550 N793CP arrived in Sydney from Honolulu and Brisbane on June 16 before continuing to Perth on June 17. After overnighting it departed Perth direct to Honolulu.

Honeywell International Gulfstream 550 N933H arrived in Sydney from Halim on June 25 and departed for Honolulu on June 27.

Gulfstream 550 B-KHJ arrived at Hamilton Island from Beijing and Sydney on June 19 and after overnighting returned to Sydney. It departed Sydney for Beijing on June 21.

Ontario Inc Gulfstream 550C-GGPM arrived in Kalgoorlie from Port Moresby and Cairns on June 6 before continuing to Sydney on June 8. It departed Sydney for Honolulu on June 10.

Gulfstream 550 VP-BNE arrived in Perth from Denpasar on June 17.

State of Johor Gulfstream 550 9M-TMJ (Traffic/July) departed Perth for Johor Bahru on June 4.

Hongda Group Gulfstream 550 B-8275 (Traffic/July) departed Melbourne for Nanjing on June 7.

Gulfstream 450 VP-CQQ arrived in Perth from Hong Kong on June 27 and after overnighting departed to Seletar.

US Navy Gulfstream IV/C‑20G 165093 ‘Convoy 2522’ arrived in Brisbane from Pago Pago on June 14 and after overnighting departed to Darwin. It returned to Brisbane from Darwin on June 18 and departed to Pago Pago on June 19.

US Marines Gulfstream IV/C‑20G 165153 ‘Ghost 54’ arrived in Townsville from Majuro on June 20 before continuing to Canberra on June 23. It departed Canberra for Majuro on June 26.

Overseas bizjets

Indonesia Aircraft Charter Beechjet 400A PK-ELI arrived at Darwin from Lombok on June 6 before returning to Lombok later that day. Beechjet 400A PK-ELX arrived in Darwin from Lombok on June 20 before returning there the same day.

Global 5000 N755RA arrived at Essendon from Auckland on June 11 before continuing to Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney. On June 20 it departed Sydney for Seletar.

Global 5000 N3389H arrived in Melbourne from Hong Kong on June 10 before returning to Hong Kong on June 12.

Qatar Executive Global 5000 A7-CEI (Traffic/July) as QQE100 departed Cairns for Seletar on June 4. As QQE110 it returned to Australia on June 18 when it arrived at Perth from Male. The Global 5000 then departed Perth for Colombo on June 19.

Global Express N304CC arrivedin Sydney from Honolulu on June 29.

Reliance Worldwide Challenger 601-3A N23SB, which had arrived at Essendon on March 31, departed for the Gold Coast, Nadi and Honolulu on June 15.

Rhema Bible Church Challenger 601-3A N91KH arrived in Brisbane from Apia on June 3 before returning to Apia on June 8.

China United CRJ-200BLR B-4005, which arrived at Essendon for maintenance on March 26 (Traffic/May), departed on June 9 for Cairns, Darwin and Kota Kinabalu.

China United CRJ-200BLR B-4006 arrived at Essendon for maintenance on July 27 from Kota Kinabalu, Darwin and Cairns.

Aviando Services Dornier 328JET N430FJ arrived at Cairns from Cocos Island and Broome on June 10 before returning to Broome and Cocos Island on June 15.

Embraer 190/Lineage 1000 N227GV arrived at Brisbane from Halim on June 27 and at Sydney on July 2.

Sky River Consulting Falcon 7X N171EX arrived in Cairns from Honolulu and Townsville on June 11 and departed for Honolulu on June on June 24.

Falcon 7X N889AB arrived in Melbourne from Hong Kong on June 5 before departing in the early hours of June 6 to Singapore.

TAG Aviation Falcon 7X VP‑CJS as TBJ78 arrived at Essendon from Nanjing on June 9 and departed to Shanghai on June 25.

Ferry flights

H145 D-HADW was noted at Bankstown on June 19 prior to commencing a demonstration tour of Australia. It arrived in Brisbane from Coffs Harbour on June 27.

Weststar Aviation Services AW189 9M-WSS arrived at Darwin from Dili on June 8 before returning to Dili on June 12.

Ambulance Victoria AW139 VHYXG arrived at Essendon by road from the docks on June 9 and was noted test flying on June 12.

Baron G58 N298WA arrived at Bundaberg on June 13 after its trans- Tasman crossing from North Shore via Kerikeri and Lord Howe Island.

Cessna T240 N362CS arrived in Perth on June 15 from Moorabbin via Parafield, Ceduna, Forrest and Esperance.

Cessna 337 H4-DAL ex G-HIVA was noted parked at Redcliffe on June 15.

Mooney M-20R N35MD (Traffic/ July) continued its round-the-world flight when it departed the Gold Coast for Nadi on June 6 and later flew from Christmas Island toHonolulu on June 11.

PAC 750XL ZK-KCP departed Kerikeri for Norfolk Island and Brisbane on June 28 and the following day the all-white aircraft departed to Cairns.

Heavy metal

The buildup for the military exercise Talisman Sabre 2015 brought an increased US military presence to Australian airports.

Qatar Amiri Flight A340-211 A7- HHK ‘QAF4’ arrived in Melbourne from Doha on June 16 before returning there on June 17.

RAAF Alenia C-27J A34-001 callsign ‘ASY565’ was delivered to RAAF Richmond on June 25 after ferrying in from Guam, Port Moresby and Townsville. On the ferry flight from the US the C-27J, which was the first of its type to be delivered to the RAAF, travelled in company with C-130J A97-447 callsign ‘ASY564’.

US Air Force King Air B200/ C‑12F 84-0152 callsign ‘Cats 22’ in company with United States of America Beech 1900C-1/C-12J 86- 0082 ‘Cats 12’ arrived in Perth from Ambon, Darwin and Port Hedland on June 26. Both departed Perth for Port Hedland and Darwin on June 29 and after overnighting continued to Ambon.

Bahrain Royal Flight 767-4FS(ER) A9C-HMH ‘Bahrain 3’ arrived in Cairns from Kuala Lumpur on June 8 before returning there on June 16.

Omni Air International 767‑328(ER) N342AX was seen in Darwin on June 19, 20 and 21 operating flights from and to Kadena.

Omni Air International 767‑33A(ER) N378AX as flight OAE164 arrived in Darwin from Hickam on June 14 before departing for Honolulu on June 15.

Atlas Air 767-38E(ER) N641GT as ‘Giant 8010’ arrived in Darwin from Kadena on June 28 before departing the same day to Hong Kong as ‘Giant 8011’.

US Air Force 757-23A/C-32A 00- 9001 transited Darwin on June 23 while operating from and to Kadena.

00-9001 returned to Darwin from Kadena on June 24 before returningto Kadena on June 25. The C-32A arrived in Cairns from Kadena and Darwin on June 26.

US Navy 737-7AF/C-40A 165832 ‘Convoy 7853’ arrived in Brisbane from Guam on June 19 and after overnighting returned to Guam. 165832 ‘Convoy 7896’ returned to Brisbane from Guam on June 21 and after overnighting returned to Guam.

US Navy 737-7AF/C-40A 165836 ‘Convoy 7184’ transited Brisbane on June 6 while operating from Guam to Whenuapai. As ‘Convoy 7202’ it arrived in Darwin from Guam on June 8 before returning to Guam on June 9.

US Navy 737-7AF/C-40A 166693 ‘Convoy 7265’ arrived in Townsville from Guam on June 11 before returning to Guam the same day. As ‘Convoy 7201’ it operated a similar flight on June 14. Finally on June 19 as ‘Convoy 7542’ it arrived in Brisbane from Guam before returning there the same day.

Indonesian air force CN-235 P-861 arrived in Darwin from Kupang on June 25. US Air Force/SOG Dornier 328/C-146A 10-3026 ‘Magma 1’ arrived in Darwin from Ambon on June 20 and after overnighting departed to Denpasar.

US Air Force/SOG Dornier 328/C-146A 11-3097 ‘Magma 2’ arrived in Darwin from Ambon on June 23 and departed to Denpasar on June 25.

US Navy Grumman S-2A 162170 ‘Password 35’, which was working off the carrier George Washington, visited Townsville on June 11 and 14.

US Navy Grumman S-2A 162172 ‘Password 26’ visited Brisbane on June 17 and 18 and Townsville on June 11, 14, 17 and 18.

US Air Force C-130H 74-1674 ‘Trek 950’ arrived in Townsville from Guam on June 22 before continuing to Whenuapai on June 23.

US Air Force MC-130H 89‑0283 ‘Token 13’ arrived at Cairns from Kadena on June 15 before continuing to Amberley on June 17 and Whenuapai on June 18.

The three MC-130Hs – 88-0191, 88-1803 and 89-0283 – departed Whenuapai for Amberley and Cairns on June 25 before continuing to Darwin on June 26.

US Air Force MC-130Js 12‑5762 ‘Mack 17’ and 12-5763 ‘Mack 18’ arrived in Darwin from Koror on June 25 before continuing to Richmond on June 27.

US Marines KC-130J 168075/ QD ‘Sumo 62’ arrived in Darwin from Kadena on June 15 before continuing to Townsville on June 17. It returned to Darwin on June 18.

US Navy C-130T 165313/ JW ‘Convoy 7281’ arrived at Townsville from Guam on June 11 before returning there on June 12.

As ‘Convoy 7423’ it operated a second Guam-Townsville-Guam on June 13/14. Then as ‘Convoy 7005’ it arrived in Darwin from Guam on June 26.
