Preparing for a long distance flight
The long distance flight takes you far from the comfort of local aerodromes and an area that you know and into the unknown. To ensure that the flight runs smoothly requires thorough planning.
I undertake the occasional delivery or ferry flight. A few months ago I flew a Cirrus from the bottom of the country to Horn Island and back, a 4,000nm round trip which was not without issues in relation to weather.
