RAAF eyes multi-INT Triton for maritime patrol and other surveillance roles
Australia is keen to acquire the multiple-intelligence (multi-INT) configuration of the MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft system (UAS) that will boast capabilities akin to those of the US Navy’s EP-3E Aries II reconnaissance aircraft.
According to US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) principal deputy program manager Commander Jason Rider, this multi-INT configuration, which is expected to be introduced from the 10th aircraft in the series onwards, will augment the baseline Triton’s capabilities.
