The RNZAF’s future airlift options
Among the many capabilities discussed in New Zealand’s Defence White Paper 2010 is the NZDF’s future airlift requirement – currently fulfilled by two converted Boeing 757s and an ageing fleet of five Lockheed C-130Hs – the oldest of which have now been in service for half a century.
The White Paper and the latest Defence Capability Plan, released in 2014, discuss the replacement of these two fleets.
