The real power of a good induction process

It used to be the case that pointing a new employee or contract pilot at an aircraft, handing them a job order and telling them not to take too long counted as ‘induction’, but that simply doesn’t cut it in the face of legal requirements, good management practice or your moral responsibility to protect your employees, your company and yourself.

Induction is still seen by some as an impediment to getting on with the job – just another layer of government-inflicted nonsense that ignores the inherent common sense in people and the fact they are already trained.
