Poseidon heralds new CONOPS for maritime patrol
The United States Navy gave the new Boeing P-8A Poseidon its first operational outing recently at Exercise Bold Alligator, an operational fleet exercise off the coasts of Virginia and North Carolina.
The platform will replace the stalwart though ageing P-3 Orion fleet on maritime patrol work.
