We now have the detail on the carbon tax and it is not good news for regional aviation.
Apparently regional carriers are part of the 500 ‘big polluters’ and need another tax to encourage them to change their behaviour. The fact is that regional aviation contributes around 0. 2 per cent to the country’s total carbon emissions – ie virtually nothing.
