Senate reports on aviation training and safety
Prospective pilots could face a longer wait for their chance to move into the right hand seat of large jet airliners if recommendations of a Senate inquiry into pilot training are adopted.
The Senate’s Rural Affairs and Transport committee initiated an inquiry into aviation training and safety in September last year after a number of concerns were expressed about low time pilots flying large jet aircraft, as well as a number of potentially serious incidents over the past few years.
