Virgin Blue’s pending Skywest operated ATR 72 fleet offers hope for regional towns.
Tamworth and Armidale in NSW and Bundaberg, Gladstone and Emerald in Queensland have not had airline competition since the Ansett collapse a decade ago, and would be keenly looking to see just how Virgin Blue deploys its ATRs.
