Many operators have been working feverishly on their responses to the Productivity Commission (PC) inquiry into airport regulation. While the title is hardly riveting, this is one of the most important aviation inquiries announced by government in the past two decades.

Since airports were privatised there has been a quantum shift in market power, with the major city and larger regional airports being the main beneficiaries.
