Aviation responds to the Queensland floods

EMS helicopters, ADF aircraft, commercial airliners and even general aviation pilots pitched in from above to provide vital supply drops, medevacs and support to anyone who needed it in flood-affected Queensland.

Ravaged by January’s ‘worst floods in 50 years’, thousands living in the central and southeast parts of Queensland lost their homes, cars, and possessions, with towns and cities across the state inundated, and aviation played a key role the rescue and recovery efforts.
