ADF Airshow farewells the F-111

The ADF Airshow held at RAAF Base Williamtown near Newcastle on the weekend of September 18 and 19 was notable for several events, not least of which was the final display of the F-111 in RAAF service before it’s retirement in December.

Although the ‘Pig’ is scheduled to perform at its retirement ceremony on December 3, and no doubt residents of western Ipswich and those who choose to venture close to Amberley’s permitter fence will get to see one last display, Williamtown was the final official public display for the much loved jet.
