Super tech for the Super Hornet
The arrival of the first five of 24 F/A-18F Super Hornets on March 26 brings new capabilities and potential to the ADF’s and in particular, the RAAF’s order of battle for the next decade or so.
Not only is the jet itself more capable, being able to penetrate further without escort than the F-111 or classic Hornet, but these capabilities when combined with it’s networked systems will serve to increase the capabilities of the classic Hornet fleet as well as other RAAF and coalition combat aircraft.
