A vanishing resource.
Less than 900 Jetstream 32s, Metro 23s and Beech 1900Ds remain out of more than 2000 built, and as ageing aircraft issues will take their toll, the demand won’t die out. Lucky places gained air services courtesy of war surplus 21 seat C-47s evolving to jets, others to 30-78 seat turboprops, but hundreds won’t support more than 20 seats, exemplified by those regional airlines making a go of such services.
