Pionair Australia Convair 580 Vh-pal Ferried Out of Bankstown for Sydney on September 7 on the First Leg of Its Delivery Flight to Conair at Abbotsford, British Columbia.

After Overnighting at Sydney the Convair Departed for Pago Pago, Honolulu and Vancouver.

On September 3 Vh-pdw Departed Darwin for Alice Springs and Bankstown on Conclusion of Its Stay in the Northern Territory.

Pionair Cargo Convair 580f Vh-pdx Departed Bankstown for Mackay on September 3 Where It Took on a Load of Mining Equipment Before Continuing to Cairns and Rabaul. The Following Day the Convair Departed Rabaul for Cairns and Mackay Where a Further Consignment of Mining Equipment Was Loaded Before It Departed for Cairns. On September 5 Vh-pdx Operated Cairns-rabaul- Cairns Before Continuing South the Following Day Direct to Its Home Base at Bankstown.

F27-500 Vh-ewp, Which Was Operated by Executive Airlines for the Department of Defence/navy From Its Cairns Base, Was Ferried South to Adelaide on September 12 and on September 15, Using the Callsign ‘navy Survey’. Its Lads Laser Survey Equipment Was Then Removed for Fitment Into Tenix Dash 8-202 Vh-lcl Which is Operated by Cobham/surveillance Australia.

Then on September 18 Vhewp Ferried From Adelaide to Melbourne/essendon, Initially for Maintenance, but Later for Storage Before It Recommences Flying on Work Previously Carried Out by Vh‑lcl.

Execujet Announced on September 7 That It Was Planning to Deliver a Global Express Xrs to a Customer in Sydney in November. It is Reported That the Global Will Either Be Vh-law, Which Was Sighted at Savannah, Georgia, in October ’08, or Vh-ocv, Which Was Sighted at Montreal/ Trudeau in July ’09, but as of Early October Neither of These Aircraft Had Been Placed on the Australian Register.
