Crash Or Crash Through?
CASA CEO/director of aviation safety John McCormick is certainly making waves.
Since taking on the role earlier this year, the CASA boss has consistently proven to be a man of strong words and actions. He has repeatedly told industry of his key mantras – CASA is the regulator with a capital ‘R’; and that CASA will consult, but not consult to consensus. He has a black and white view of what CASA’s role should be and how it should go about its operations, and an obvious emphasis on decisive action (perhaps reflecting his fighter pilot origins).
