Scrutiny increasing

The F-35 JSF program has recently come under more scrutiny as the US and partner nations get closer to committing to the aircraft for their future air defence and strike requirements.

And nowhere has this debate played out more than in the Australian media, with claims and counter-claims about the aircraft performance or lack thereof against current and emerging Russia and Chinese threats, while the RAAF battles to retain its Project Air 6000 money in the face of a dwindling defence budget and a government intent on enforcing a leaner and meaner attitude on Defence.
