Boeing’s 787 nears first flight
Boeing’s 787 is rapidly, finally approaching its long awaited first flight – a much anticipated event which will start an aggressive flight test campaign aimed at achieving certification and first deliveries in the first quarter of next year.
In April, 21 months after 787 ZA001 was first presented to the world in its July 2007 roll-out ceremony, the first 787 was deemed “shop complete”, moving from production to flight test status at Boeing.
