RAAF KC-30 delays

The first of five KC-30 tankers for the RAAF will now not be delivered by EADS CASA until some six to nine months later than planned, sometime in the fourth quarter of next year, the Defence Materiel Organisation’s (DMO’s) MRTT Project Team has confirmed to Australian Aviation.

In the May issue of AA we reported that the first KC-30 was on track for a February 2009 delivery, with project leaders explaining that some delays had occurred but that EADS was working to make up that time and meet its original schedule obligations.
