Sikorsky’s X2 Technology Prototype Made Its First Flight on August 27 From Its Schweizer Aircraft Corporation Subsidiary’s Rapid-prototyping Facility in Horseheads, New York.

Sikorsky Chief Test Pilot Kevin Bredenbeck Flew the Counter-rotating Coaxial Rotor X2 for 30 Minutes Without the Use of Its Pusher Propeller in Forward Flight, Hovered in Ground Effect, and Performed Hover Turns.
