Aviation & the emissions trading green paper

Australian airlines are set to face more challenges under the federal government’s proposed emissions trading scheme as set out in its recent green paper.

That was the opinion of the CEOs of Qantas and Virgin Blue, but other aviation interest groups are holding their fire until more details on how the ETS may affect inputs of other operators which will not be directly forced to pay for emissions permits.
