All Change At The Top?
Generational change is under way at the top of Qantas, which has put in place a leadership succession plan in a time of complex challenges in trying operational circumstances.
Newly appointed CEO-designate Alan Joyce will take over the reins of Qantas in late November from the long serving, hugely successful Geoff Dixon. Joyce is a native of Ireland and once worked with now British Airways CEO Willie Walsh at Aer Lingus before coming to Australia to work for Ansett prior to his time at the Qantas Group, where for the last four years he has really earned his spurs with the successful set up and expansion of Jetstar.
