Gipp Sland Aeronautics Launches Next Generation Nomad
It was a ‘back to the future’ moment on June 18 when Gippsland Aeronautics announced that it would take over support and restart production of the N24 Nomad.
The announcement was part of a ceremony at Gippsland’s facility at Latrobe Regional Airport where Boeing Australia handed over the type certificate for the Nomad, which it inherited from its takeover of Rockwell Australia. Gippsland Aeronautics (GA) bought the certificate, intellectual property, spares and technical support facilities for the aircraft for an undisclosed amount.
