Aerial ag – farming from the air

The stereotype persists that aerial agriculture seems to be about low level, maverick flying in biplanes with a leather cap and goggles. This image could not be further from the truth for the industry in Australia.

The biplanes, cap and goggles have long been dispensed with, and Australian aerial ag operators now boast some of the most modern equipment and high tech aircraft in the aviation world. The maverick attitude of ag pilots has also been long stamped out, with today’s ag pilot highly trained in both flying and farming techniques.
