A Super Review
Every Political Cynic Knows Politicians Don’t Commission an Inquiry Without Knowing What It’s Findings Will Be. It’s the Nature of the Beast That Politicians Don’t Like Surprises, and They Certainly Don’t Want to Be Surprised by Findings of a Review They’ve Commissioned.
So It’s in This Light That Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon’s Air Combat Capability Review is a Little Puzzling. The Review Will Be in Two Parts, the First Essentially to Review the Last Government’s Super Hornet Acquisition Decision, the Second to Look at Long Term Combat Needs Including the Planned F-35 Jsf Buy and if There is a Role for the Formidable, but Formidably Expensive, F-22 to Play.
