Light utility lost

Sunday September 23 saw the last flight of the Bell UH-1H Iroquois by an operational Army squadron after a distinguished 45 year career serving the Army, Navy and Air Force.

Army’s A Squadron, 5 Aviation Regiment (5 Avn Regt), 16 Brigade (Aviation), was tasked to fly to Toowoomba Grammar School, Queensland, for a public relations visit. Little did the school know its event would become the final chapter in the history of Army Iroquois operations.
