New types delivered to operators in our region were a Challenger 850 to Linfox Aircraft Charter of Melbourne; a Gulfstream 200 to Air National of Auckland and a Citation Mustang to Aeromil Pacific of Maroochydore. Updated models were a Global XRS to the Westfield Group in Sydney; a Citation CJ1+ to Australasian Jet of Melbourne; and a Citation CJ2+ to Noumea Jet Charter in New Caledonie.

Of the 32 aircraft imported six replaced older or smaller bizjets. Rank Services in Auckland took delivery of BBJ N66ZB to replace Global Express N18WZ; Westfield Group in Sydney Global XRS N36LG to replace Challenger 604 VH-MZL; AGG Learjet P/L of Helensvale, Queensland, Challenger 604 N604AU to replace Learjet 45 VH‑VVI; Nantay P/L in Perth Hawker 850XP VH-MQY to replace Citation Ultra VH-SMF; and Jet City in Melbourne Citation Excel VH-XCJ to replace Citation Bravo VH-XCJ.

Established operators added a further nine new aircraft with Westfield Aviation of Sydney taking delivery of Global Express N94ZZ; Avwest P/L of Perth Gulfstream IV VH-OSW; Linfox Aircraft Charter of Melbourne Challenger 850 VH-LEF; Orkdale P/L of Oxenford, Queensland Citation III VH-SBU; Pratt Aviation of Melbourne Citation Ultra N860CR; Pel-Air Aviation of Sydney Westwind II VH-KNR; Private Air P/L of Wangi Wangi, NSW, Citation VII VH-VRC; Jet City of Melbourne Learjet 36A N950G; and Edwards Coaches of Armidale, NSW, Citation CJ2 VH-RJB.

New operators appearing in our directory for the first time as a result of importing aircraft were Connected Solutions Group of Darwin with Premier I N34GN; Flight Path Aviation of West End, Queensland, with Citation III VH-SSZ; Fox Aviation of Melbourne with Citation I VH-FCS; Ramsay Air Charter of Greenwich, NSW, with Hawker 850XP VH-RAM; Southern Air Services of Warrnambool with Citation CJ1 VH‑APJ; Sydney Jet Charter of Sydney with Premier N7088S; and Wellard Aviation of Fremantle with Citation Sovereign VH-EXA.

Change of ownership in the resident fleet produced the following new operators: Grant Kenny Aviation of Maroochydore with Citation I VH-EMM; Kestrel Aviation College of Mangalore with Westwind II VH-ZYH; Marcplan P/L of Melbourne with Hawker 800XP VH-MBP; Maxem Aviation of Applecross, WA, with Citation Ultra VH-MXJ; PAL Aviation of Melbourne with Falcon 900C VH-LAL; Quasar Resourses of Adelaide with Citation II VH-HVM; Revesco Aviation of Perth with Citation II VH-INT; and Silver Cross Aviation of Milton, Queensland with Citation I/SP VH-MMC.

Deliveries

The 32 deliveries compares very favourably with the 18 aircraft delivered in the previous 12 months. Annual bizjet deliveries 2002 to 2006 were 5, 20, 11, 14 and 18 respectively.

Deliveries were as follows: Citation Ultra N860CR to Pratt Aviation of Melbourne at Essendon on November 17 ‘06 Citation CJ2+ F-ONYY, the first of its type in the region, to Noumea Jet Charter in Noumea, New Caledonia,on November 20 ’06.

Hawker 850XP VH‑MQY was registered to Hawker Pacific of Milperra, NSW, on December 6 ’06 and was delivered to Perth on December 15.

Citation Sovereign VH-EXA was registered to Wellard Aviation of Fremantle, WA, on December 11 ’06 and was delivered to Melbourne/ Essendon on December 16.

Citation XLS VH-XCJ was registered to Jet City P/L of Tullamarine, Victoria, on December 13 ’06 and was delivered to Melbourne on February 12.

Premier N34GN to Connected Solutions Group in Darwin on December 17 ’06.

Westwind II VH-ZYH was registered to SPA Aviation of Perth on January 24 and was delivered to Perth on January 31.

Citation Sovereign VH-EXQ was registered to Wellard Aviation of Fremantle, WA, on February 15. However, initially the aircraft was not imported and on April 27 it was cancelled from the register as ‘order cancelled’. VH-EXQ was again placed on the register on June 4 but this time to Executive Airlines of Essendon, Victoria, with the aircraft being delivered to Essendon on June 17.

Citation VII VH-VRC was registered to Private Air P/L of Wangi Wangi, NSW, on February 22 and was delivered to Sydney on March 1.

Citation III VH-SSZ was registered to Flight Path Aviation of West End, Queensland, on February 27 and was delivered to Sydney on March 15.

Citation CJ2 VH-RJB was registered to Edwards Coaches of Armidale, NSW, on March 9 after having been delivered as N942CJ to Bankstown on March 2.

Westwind II VH-KNR was registered to Pel-Air Aviation of Mascot, NSW, on March 5 and was delivered to Sydney on September 11.

Citation I/SP VH-FUM was registered to General Flying Services of Southland Centre, Victoria, on May 15. As N80SF the Cessna had earlier been delivered to Melbourne/Moorabbin on March 24.

Citation I VH-FCS was registered to Fox Aviation of Brighton, Victoria, on April 16. As N45FS the Citation, which is re-engined with two Williams FJ44 engines, was delivered to Melbourne/ Moorabbin on March 25.

Premier I N7088S to Sydney Jet Charter of Milperra, NSW, at Sydney on April 27.

Challenger 850 VH‑LEF was registered to Linfox Aircraft Charter of Melbourne on May 8 after having been delivered as C-FGTV to Essendon on April 30.

Premier 1 VH-VHP was registered to Sydney Jet Charter of Milperra, NSW, on August 29. It had earlier been delivered to Bankstown as N71865 on May 1.

Falcon 2000EX N185G to Network Jet in Auckland on May 10.

Citation CJ1+ VH-MYE was registered to Australasian Jet P/L of Essendon on May 24 and was delivered to Essendon on June 1.

Citation Mustang N2243W, the first of its type in the region, was delivered to Aeromil Pacific at Maroochydore on July 15.

Global Express N94ZZ to Westfield Aviation in Sydney on July 30.

Challenger 604 N322BX to AGG Learjet P/L of Helensvale, Queensland in Coolangatta on July 31.

Gulfstream IV/SP VH-OSW was registered to Avwest of Perth on September 19 after having been delivered to Perth as N123LC on August 6.

Learjet 36A N950G to Jet City in Melbourne on August 10.

Citation III VH-SBU was registered to Orkdale P/L of Oxenford, Queensland, on August 9 and was delivered to Coolangatta on August 11.

Hawker 850XP VH‑RAM was registered to Ramsay Air Charter of Greenwich, NSW, on August 17 and was delivered to Sydney on August 22.

Gulfstream 200 N658GA, the first of its type in the region, was delivered to Air National Corporate in Auckland on September 8.

Citation XLS VH-NGH was registered to Sunshine Express Airlines of Sunshine Coast, Queensland, on September 12 and was delivered to Bankstown on September 30.

Citation Mustang VH‑CCJ was registered to CCJ P/L of Ascot, Queensland, on September 14 and was delivered to Brisbane/Archerfield on October 13.

Global XRS N36LG to the Westfield Group in Sydney on October 13.

Citation CJ1 VH-APJ was registered to Southern Air Services of Warrnambool, Victoria, on October 25 after having been delivered to Essendon as N508TL on October 15.

Departures

Eight bizjets including three Global Expresses and a Global 5000 moved overseas during the survey period.

This compares with four aircraft in the previous 12 months, while bizjet exports for the five year period 2002 through 2006 were 15, 13, 6, 7 and 4, respectively.

Network Jet operated Global 5000 N818FH departed Auckland on March 24 on its sale in the United States. Footscray, Vic, to Grant Kenny Aviation of Maroochydore, Qld, on April 16.

Citation Ultra VH-SMF from Nantay P/L, Perth to Maxem Aviation, Applecross, WA on May 21.

Citation II VH-HVM from General Flying Services, Southland Centre, Vic, to Quasar Resources, Adelaide, SA on August 15.

Hawker 800XP N18AQ to VH-MBP on February 8 for Marcplan Charter of Melbourne.

Citation III N9NL to VH-SPJ on April 18 for Sunshine Express Airlines of Maroochydore.

Gulfstream IV VH-CCC to VH-CGF on April 26 for Crown of Southbank, Vic.

Learjet 45 VH-EJK, which was operated by Eagle Creek Investments of Sydney, departed Sydney on May 2 for Mount Isa and Darwin and onward ferry to Jersey, UK. The Learjet was cancelled from the register on May 7 on its sale to Airancyra in Turkey as TC-CMB.

Learjet 45 VH-VVI, which was operated by AGG Learjet P/L of Helensvale, Queensland, was sold overseas after being replaced by Challenger 604 N604AU.

VH-VVI departed Sydney for Port Moresby and Guam on May 23 before being cancelled from the register on August 22 on its sale in the United States as N45AU.

Westfield Aviation Global Express N18WF departed its Sydney base on June 22 for operations with Westfield in North America.

Westfield Aviation Global Express N613WF was moved from its Sydney base to operations in North America sometime in the review period so it has been removed from the listing.

Rank Services operated Global Express N18WZ departed its Auckland base on September 21 for Nadi and Honolulu after the owners replaced it with BBJ N66ZB.

Citation Sovereign VH‑EXA, which was operated by Wellard Aviation P/L of Fremantle, was cancelled from the register on October 10 on its sale in the US.

Falcon 2000EX N185G, which was operated by Network Jet, departed its Auckland base on October 22 on its return to the US.

Finally, Hawker Pacific Premier N488RC, which was included in the 2007 directory should not have been listed as in September ’06 the aircraft was sold in India.
