Are you suited to go bush?
To obtain that prized first flying job and to build up valuable flying hours, a lot of new pilots look at outback Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
The question that is seldom asked by the pilots, but sometimes by operators is, ‘are you suited to go bush?’ Recently a pilot showed me a letter that he had received from an operator to whom he had made job enquiries. The letter pulled no punches in spelling out that the town the operator was based at was not like a capital city and that in short, things were different.
