Texas Taildragger 152

This pretty aeroplane’s big, ugly front wheel has been replaced by a neat little tailwheel. Doesn’t it look better? Now look harder. Do you see those drooped wing-tips, those upper-surface wing fences? These are external evidence of a couple more inexpensive modification packages that make this 152 an outstanding performer in the climb, cruise, approach and landing.

The whole high-winged Cessna family started out as tailwheelers. As the conventional 120 and 140 begat the 170, 180 and 185, so these were eventually developed into the nose-wheel 150, 152, 172, 175, 177, 182, 205/6 and 210 that are so common today.
