Four Viscounts have been purchased by British Air Ferries from Euroair, taking its fleet total of the type to 17.
The first flight of an RAF Lockheed TriStar K.Mk 1 tanker took place on July 9. It is the first of six TriStars to be converted from British Airways TriStar 500s by Marshalls of Cambridge. Modifications include an additional 56,825 l (12,500 Imp gal) of fuel carried in fuel tanks installed in the underfloor cargo holds, a refuelling probe on the starboard side above the flightdeck and twin hose drum units in the rear fuselage.
