Impulse Airlines’ plans to become a major Australian regional carrier are well within reach if the airline’s achievements in its relatively short history are any indication. Its decision to lease ten Jetstream 41s will surely help the company on a course to realise this objective.
Impulse’s managing director, Gerry McGowan, said on accepting the airline’s first Jetstream 41 in Sydney, “We don’t suffer from boredom at Impulse.” The frenetic activity that has been obvious at Impulse over the past 18 months has brought it to a position of strength as the fourth largest regional and commuter operator in the country from a beginning that has been described as a ‘baptism of fire’.
