Deadeye Redeye
Back in the early eighties I worked with a colleague who travelled frequently from Adelaide to Melbourne on a commercial airline which shall remain nameless. His usual procedure involved departing Adelaide around 6.45am, visiting associates in and around Melbourne during the day, then returning to Adelaide in the evening.
On this particular day, our friend had achieved some considerable business success and celebrated over a lengthy business lunch (when such events were still tax deductible). Needless to say, he was in a rather mellow mood when departing Melbourne that evening on a Melbourne/Adelaide/Perth flight, and following a few more noggins in flight promptly fell asleep.
