The Migs Arrive!
Friday June 30th marked a special event for all Australian Warbird enthusiasts when three Polish built MiG-15 two seat trainers arrived in a container crate at Melbourne’s Essendon Airport. Another two of the same model have since arrived at Bankstown Airport in Sydney NSW. If this is not enough, four single seat MiG-15 fighters are also due to arrive in Australia!
The intention is that all the aircraft will fly under ANR108A-the CAA allowing. The MiG imports are in fact Polish built LIM-3 and LIM-2 copies of the Russian MiG-15UTI two seat trainer and the MiG-15Bis single seat fighter.
