Australian Bicentennial Air Show Preview
The largest and most comprehensive Air Show and Aerospace Expo ever seen in the Southern Hemisphere will form a vital part of this year’s Australian Bicentenary celebrations. This unique event will be held between 12-16 October at the big Royal Australian Air Force transport base at Richmond, near Sydney. The show will combine features of the great international displays of Paris, Farnborough and Oshkosh.
Central to the show is an exposition at which aerospace and related defence and high-technology companies from around the world will display their wares to the thousands of trade visitors who will attend on three special, private trade days (Oct 12-14). Over 12,000 square metres of internal exhibition space will be available in three 75m Expo pavilions marking the first time such pavilions have been used at an Australian air display. An extensive outdoor exhibition area and aircraft static park (covering some 200 hectares) will also be available.
