Each time this series has been researched and revised, it’s been run in two or three parts. LYEHW ’88 is in one issue only, meaning you get all the information you want now. Everything you need to successfully monitor the Australian HF, VHF and UHF airbands and business bands.

VHF Air – 1 08-117. 9MHz: Air navigation/radio aids; 118- 136MHz: Air/ground confirms. UHF Air – 225-380MHz: Military air/ground comms, navaids, radio altimeters. VHF LO – 68- 88MHz: Business band used by airline companies. VHF HI – 138-174MHz: Business band used by airline companies. UHF – 450-500MHz: Business band used by airline companies.

VHF and UHF airband comms are single frequency simplex, which in simple terms means both aircraft and ground station are on the same channel. All frequency information included in this series is correct at time of writing, but due to changes which will undoubtedly happen prior to publishing, the information should not be used for navigation purposes.
