Winds of Change

It used to be said, and I guess it still is, that a day is a long time in politics. Today that overused cliche applies just as aptly when referring to the politics of the airline community.

Deregulation has not even reached Australia yet we have a situation where major changes are occurring almost on a daily basis. This editorial, for instance, is the second that has been written for this issue. The first was overtaken by events within days of it having been composed. Similarly, we have written three different news items as to the present state of play of EastWest Airlines -maybe third time lucky!
