Australian Satellite Development Study Contract Awarded
The Australian Space Board has awarded a $0. 2 million pre-phase A feasibility study contract for a research and remote sensing satellite to a group of organisations led by Hawker de Havilland. The NSW-based team, comprising Amalgamated Wireless Australia, Computer Sciences of Australia, AUSSAT, the University of NSW and CSIRO’s Radio Physics and Mineral Physics Divisions, will be led by the Technical Director of HdH, Stan Schaetzel.
The feasibility study starting in May is scheduled for completion in September this year, with funding sourced from both the participants and the Australian Space Board.
