Air Safety

Last edition David, our intrepid aviator, was almost responsible for a mid-air collision between his charter Piper Seneca and an RPT F27 at Merimbula on the South Coast of NSW. The incident has been investigated by the Bureau of Air Safety Investigation and referred to the NSW Regional Flight Standards Branch of the Department. This story explains what happened.

“What, Will Happen Now ?”

The flight back from Merimbula was without incident but David was still quite shaken by his harrowing experience in the circuit at the coast.

Although he knew he didn’t want to talk about it, he also knew that Frank would ask. He parked the aircraft and slowly walked towards the lone light which indicated that Frank was still waiting for him in the offices of Country to Coast Charters.
