Foxjet About To Take Off

As you read this edition, the diminutive Foxjet will be preparing for its first flight. Billed as the smallest, cheapest-to-operate jet yet built, the six-seat Foxjet is claimed to use less fuel than the average six-place piston-engined single while cruising at twice the speed.

Manfred Bauzdus, Sales Director of Foxjet Australasia, recently outlined to AADR the full story of the “smallest” jet, an aircraft that in concept and design is from where we stand, the most original aircraft program of this decade.

Tony Fox, a self-made millionaire, was of the opinion that the aviation world required a small executive style yet that would cost less than half what the cheapest comparative jet did and could be operated at an hourly rate more akin to a small turboprop.
