It is open to any commercial or air transport pilot at any career level and at any age who has demonstrated a commitment to excelling in the aviation industry and is on a rapid career trajectory — with their work central to the commercial success, performance or development of their organisation.
This award recognises the engineer or technician that has delivered outstanding work for their community, organisation or institution while supporting the strengthening of Australia’s aviation industry through their active participation.
It is open to any qualified aerospace engineer or technician, at any career level and at any age, who has demonstrated a commitment to excelling in the aviation industry and is on a rapid career trajectory – with their work central to the commercial success, growth or development of their organisation, industry safety or innovation.
This award recognises an aviation executive that has most effectively shaped their business’ success while supporting the strengthening of Australia’s aviation capabilities and its recovery through the pandemic. All industry executives who hold a senior position such as CEO, CFO, COO, managing director, executive director or equivalent title are encouraged to apply.
This award recognises a female leader in aviation that has most effectively shaped their business’ success while supporting the strengthening, recovery, diversity and growth of Australia’s aviation industry and its capabilities.
It is open to all female aviation professionals who hold a management/leadership position in a business, organisation or institution that supports aviation and the wider aviation industry.
This award recognises the recreational pilot that has delivered outstanding work for their community, organisation or institution while supporting the strengthening of Australia’s aviation industry through active participation.

This award recognises the operator of a remotely piloted aircraft that has delivered outstanding work for their organisation or institution while supporting the strengthening and advancement of Australia’s aviation and UAS industry.
It is open to any operator of remotely piloted aircraft at any career level and at any age who has demonstrated a commitment to excelling in the aviation industry and is on a rapid career trajectory — with their work central to the commercial success, performance or development of their organisation.
This award recognises the rotary-wing pilot that has delivered outstanding work for their organisation or institution while supporting the strengthening and advancement of Australia’s
aviation industry.
It is open to any rotary-wing pilot at any career level and at any age who has demonstrated a commitment to excelling in the aviation industry and is on a rapid career trajectory — with their work central to the commercial success, performance or development of their organisation.
This award recognises the young aviator who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to building a successful career in the aviation industry. It includes all airlines and charter services in Australia operating across regional, metropolitan and major cities, focusing on passenger or freight services.

This award is open to defence-related businesses contributing to air lift and combat capability, such as satcom and telecommunications, manufacturing, combat systems, maintenance, transport, training and all other air-related defence disciplines
This award recognises the fixed-base operator that has most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and supported the strengthening and rebuilding of Australia’s aviation industry through their participation.
It includes all fixed-base operators, no matter their specialisation, operating across domains such as fuelling, sale of fuel, line services, air charter operations, scheduled or non-scheduled support services, medivac, passenger services, freight services, training, aircraft leasing, aircraft rental, aircraft storage, aircraft repair and maintenance, hangar hire, auxiliary services, part sales, education, training, aerial photography, aerial advertising or surveying.
This award recognises the flight training business that has most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and supported the strengthening and rebuilding of Australia’s aviation industry through their training and support services.
This award is open to training-related businesses contributing to the development of skilled professionals and pilots, operating across domains such as military, aerobatics, recreational aviation, commercial aviation, rotary-wing, special mission and UAS/remote operations.
Finalists have most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and driven demonstrable growth while supporting the strengthening of Australia’s aviation economy through its participation.
It includes all industry associations/not-for-profits supporting the aviation industry.
All aviation industry associations are encouraged to participate irrespective of focus, size, revenue or geographic location/s.
This award recognises the business that has most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and driven demonstrable industry support through delivering manufacturing, maintenance, repair and/or overhaul (MRO) services to the Australian aviation industry.
It is open to all businesses within the aviation industry, no matter the specialisation, that have an objective of supplying goods, infrastructure, airframe or technology, and improving or maintaining aircraft, aircraft systems, airworthiness, safety, parts and structures. This also includes salvage and replacement services for aviation-related businesses.
This award recognises the remotely piloted aircraft business that has most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and supported the strengthening of Australia’s unmanned aerial systems and drone capabilities.
Eligibility of this award is open to businesses using remotely piloted aircraft to conduct surveillance, freight, real estate, aeromedical, parapublic aviation, planning, training, operations, agriculture, mining, construction, entertainment, defence, special mission or community services.
This award recognises the business that has most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and supported the strengthening of Australia’s rotary-wing capabilities.
It includes all rotary-wing businesses, no matter their specialisation, operating across domains such as agricultural spraying, heli-mustering, emergency services, search and rescue, surveillance, aeromedical, surveying and mapping, thermal imaging, aerial firefighting, flight planning and logistics, tourism, aerial photography and broadcasting aerial advertising, training, winching, charter, heli-lift, and all other related disciplines.
This award recognises the business that has driven demonstrable, innovative growth or transformation in supporting safe practice within Australia’s aviation industry.
All innovation in relation to safety will be considered, whether related to operator safety, visitor/passenger safety, cyber safety, airworthiness, airspace safety management, risk management, training, workplace safety, safety excellence, or any other style of aviation-related safety innovation.
This award recognises the aviation start-up that has most effectively capitalised on new opportunities and supported the strengthening and rebuilding of Australia’s aviation industry through their participation.
It includes all aviation start-ups, no matter the specialisation, operating across domains such as commercial aviation, business aviation, general aviation, airports, support services, drones, fixed-wing operations, rotary-wing operations, training and simulation, avionics, engineering, parts supply, maintenance, aeromedical, gear, technology, planning, defence and all other aviation-related disciplines.
This award recognises the business that has most effectively demonstrated sustainable practice through products, services and culture, all while strengthening Australia’s aviation capabilities, its advancement and its recovery.
Finalists have most effectively considered environmental, social and economic equity; demonstrated or introduced responsible use of natural resources; integrated or innovated practices that enhance the lives of present and future generations, through improvements in areas like operations, manufacturing, consumption, consumer behaviours, investments,
innovation and technological and institutional changes.
This award recognises the aviation business that has most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and provided support for new industry participants or aviation professionals transitioning into new roles.
It is open to all businesses within the aviation industry, no matter the specialisation, that have an objective of supporting the strengthening of Australia’s aviation workforce through the development of more skilled professionals.
