Last week, Rex released a newspaper advert featuring supposed complaints from Qantas customers struggling to get their refund. It marked a new low in the very public fallout between the two airlines.
On this week’s episode, host Phil Tarrant and guest Adam Thorn discuss the fallout. Is all fair in love and war, or will Rex rue the day it hit below the belt?
Plus, as Melbourne’s lockdown shuffles along, has the Victorian government made the right call?
Finally, it’s snakes – quite literally – on a plane as the critters shelter under Qantas A380 wheels.

says:And with that, Qantas wins the battle by staying classy. Goodbye Rex.

says:Sharp’s a former politician.
That’s speaks volumes to his actions, & words against QANTAS since March 2020.
Maybe Rex’s planes aren’t as full as he likes to pretend.
The true situation will be eventually revealed once Fed funds stop this October.
He still hasn’t said where he’s getting four aircraft supposedly by this July, & December.
He still hasn’t said WHY he’s not flying to/fro BNE, either.
The fact he’s not saying much about Rex actually says it all, about him.
Brian
says:Maybe Sharp will be quiet for awhile, as Rex has lost millions’ $ FY21.
Some of this loss, he could be the very reason for it, by his repeated verbal attacks on QANTAS for over a year now, & has recently started also having sledges at Virgin.
Now we know why, as others’ have constantly said on this site, that he’s deflecting scrutiny of the company he works for.
The only amazing thing is why the Singaporean owners’ of the airline, still allow him in the deputy job.
Let’s just wait & see if Rex is still operating come end 2021.

says:Leave REX alone they are doing their best to provide the travelling public with proper fares. REX do us a favor and bring in a TSV/ASP/PER/ASP/TSV route something that hasn’t been around for yonks. GO REX.

says:Your article on vaccination was a bit too flippant and not sufficiently in depth.
I have taken part (as a guinea pig) in trials on a couple of pharmaceuticals. The trials usually take 4/5 years, with follow up newsletters for another 4/5 years.
I asked a doctor friend (retired) how they could produce a safe vaccine without such trials. His reply was an unequivocal. “They can’t.” He recommended that at my age (late 70s) I don’t get the vaccine, until it has been properly tested
In case you think I am a rabid anti-vaxxer….I have had vaccinations as follows: Smallpox, Triple antigen, Polio, Yellow fever, Hep B, and C, and probably a couple of others I have forgotten. I lost my record card, in the 2011 floods.
Other countries I used to travel to, appreciated the fact that I kept a health card.
