Limitations of online video conferencing like zoom becoming ever apparent in lockdown. People still need physical meetings and interaction, even if just from a psychological point of view, to build depth in friendship and trust. Travel will recover.
Batteries are still way too heavy for any meaningful useage in commercial aviation. Their environmental creditials are also suspect if you dig deeper beyond the green wash. From mining cobalt(artesial mining deforestation and child labour in DRC) and lithium (massive water evaporation in arid Chile) to disposal of such chemistries. Hydrogen electric might work especially in low altitude flight.
Re: Caravan conversion: What’s cost of acquisition? How long does a battery charge take? If parachute jumping how many flights a day does a conventional machine make and what is the turnaround time?
Lots of practical questions need to be asked not just an acceptance of a politically correct viewpoint.
