Fiji Airways has taken delivery of its first A330-300 with the new Airbus widebody twin, named Island of Rotuma, touching down at Nadi on December 29.
The A330-300 is configured to seat 289 passengers in economy and 24 in business class and joins Fiji Airways’ existing fleet of three A330-200s.

I would rather them order boeing 787-9 would be better for Fiji airways because of the ambience factor.

But already having a Airbus fleet, it would make no sense to add in a different product that would require re-training, parts and maintenance. Dont get me wrong, Love the 787.

I think they would be looking at the cost factor of B787 verse the A333, with plans to replace the 200’s with 330 NEO’s. This would give Fiji Airways a fuel efficient platform with new interiors that will save on purchase cost, and fuel and servicing prices.
