Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) has unveiled two more aircraft with Star Wars liveries as part of its five-year partnership with The Walt Disney Company.

A Boeing 777-300ER will feature the BB-8 droid, while a Boeing 767-300ER will feature both BB-8 and R2-D2 on the fuselage.

The pair will join the previously announced R2-D2 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner that was first announced in April, bringing ANA’s Star Wars fleet to three aircraft.

And the Star Wars theme also extends to the inside the cabin, where items such as headrest covers, paper napkins and cups will feature characters from the movie franchise. ANA will also offer all six Star Wars movies as part of its inflight entertainment selection.

ANA says the first international flight for the Star Wars fleet will be on the R2-D2 Dreamliner, which is scheduled to operate NH116 from Tokyo to Vancouver on October 18. The aircraft is also expected to operate to Sydney when ANA resumes services to Australia in December, as well as US cities such as Seattle and San Jose and European ports Munich, Paris and Brussels. Beijing and Jakarta are also in line to see the R2-D2 jet.

Domestic services are due to begin in November with the Boeing 767, while the 777-300ER with the BB-8 livery was expected to serve mainly North American destinations in ANA’s network.

“We’re thrilled to unveil the designs of our new Star Wars themed planes, and I’m sure fans across the world will love the look,” ANA president and chief executive Osamu Shinobe said in a statement on Tuesday.

I’m not the biggest fan of the 777-300ER’s circles paint job but other than that i think they look awesome.

The hyper drive is still offline and the ewok flight attendants leave hairs in your food but I hear the stop overs on Tatooine are pleasant.
