Air New Zealand has announced it will increase its capacity on services to Japan by 30 per cent from November.
The airline said the increase is in response to a recent advertising campaign conducted with Tourism New Zealand.

“As a result Air New Zealand will add around 30 per cent extra capacity to the Japan route between mid-November this year and the end of March 2015,” General Manager Japan Scott Carr said in a statement. “This will also see the airline operate a year-round daily direct service between Japan and New Zealand for the first time since 2007.”
The airline will operate a daily service between Auckland and Tokyo Narita, and a thrice weekly service between Christchurch and Narita.

A shame J.B. hasn’t noticd the lack of direct BNE-NRT services, choices are JQ out of OOL, or QF and JAL from SYD. I’m flying SYD/NRT return in tthree weeks, and JAL has P.E. seats for $2000 ret, JQ was more expensive in their *Class, even with a MCY/SYD/MCY extra on VA.
Just three A330-200’s a week would from BNE would be great, and I bet they would fly full!!!!!
