Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it will start direct flights to Brisbane in November, making it the only US carrier to serve the Queensland capital.

Hawaiian will start three times weekly services from Brisbane to Honolulu from November 28, with the flights operated by 262-seat Boeing 767-300ERs. The flights will be timed to connect at Honolulu with the airline’s services to the Hawaiian islands, and also offer the possibility of connections to mainland US destinations.

“Australians love Hawaii, and our decision to introduce three flights per week from Brisbane to Honolulu reflects the strength of the Queensland market,” said Hawaiian Airlines president and CEO Mark Dunkerley.

“The new flights will build on the success of our existing service between Honolulu and Sydney and strengthen our offerings as the leading airline between Australia and Hawaii.”

Hawaiian recently upgraded its daily services to Sydney to Airbus A330-200s. The airline is also a partner in Virgin Australia’s Velocity loyalty program.

Dodgy airline or not, they still had plenty of b*ms on seats.
