Red Bull Australia has announced the local winners of its 2021 Red Bull Paper Wings paper plane-making Competition, with three Aussies soon bound for Austria.
The two planes – a Mirage fighter A3-55 and a Winjeel trainer A85-403 – were restored by members of the Static Display Aircraft Support Section at RAAF Base Amberley.
The attraction also signalled work will restart on completing its new $14.3 million, 400-tonne steel roof and light show projects.
An ATSB investigation has revealed the pilot of a Cessna Grand Caravan that crashed into the ocean near Japan in September 2018 was incapacitated, possibly from hypoxia.
Bad weather and pre-flight planning are set to be the focus of the Australian Transport Bureau's investigation into the crash of an amateur-built Wittman Tailwind on 12 January that killed two brothers on board.
