The Australian Airports Association (AAA) is giving seven people the opportunity to attend its 2018 national conference through a new scholarship program.

AAA chief executive Caroline Wilkie said the scholarship recipients would have a great opportunity for learning and development.

“The scholarship program has been developed to provide an opportunity for those who might normally not have the funding to attend the conference, to be able to gain technical training and industry development,” Wilkie said in a statement.

“As well as gaining an insight into airports of the future and hearing from a wide range of industry experts, the conference provides a fantastic opportunity for our attendees to network and collaborate.”

There are seven scholarships available, with applications due by September 28.

  • Three regional airports scholarships
  • Two women in airports scholarships

Scholarship recipients will be able to attend the AAA’s National Conference at no cost, with the regional airport scholarship also covering travel costs to the event.

In addition to the support from the AAA, the scholarships are being sponsored by Airservices Australia, Asset College, To70, Canberra Airport, and Sydney Airport.

More information can be found on the AAA website.

The AAA national conference takes place in Brisbane from November 13-16. More details about the conference can be found here.
