Training school Aviation Australia has set up a new operation in Melbourne in partnership with the Victorian government.

The school has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Victorian government and will offer a number of training courses in Melbourne from January 2015.

Victorian Minister for Aviation Industry Gordon Rich-Phillips said aviation was worth more than $1 billion annually to the state’s economy and he hoped the partnership with Aviation Australia would promote more investment in the sector.

“By bringing industry, education and businesses together, this exciting collaboration will promote greater productivity, efficiencies, learning and industry development across the state’s aviation and related industries,” Rich-Phillips said in a statement on Monday.

“Aviation Australia has an excellent track record of working closely with local and international aviation services, business, and educational and research organisations to provide a competitive offering to Australian and international airlines and industry.”

Well done Aviation Australia. I am currently studying under their system to complete a CASA part 66 B1.3 licence / Diploma of Aeroskills and have had a very good experience. It is cost effective and there is no shortage of experienced staff to answer questions. Great to see the expansion of the aviation industry in Australia and overseas. When are you coming to Darwin NT?
